Red Cabbage – a la Deutschland!

Slip into a dirndl, pour yourself a boot of beer and cook up some Cabbage!
Recipe for German Red Cabbage:
- 1 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 chopped cooking apple
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp water
Measure first 5 ingredients into saucepan. Cover and cook till tender, about 10 minutes.
- 1 1/2 Tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp butter
- pinch allspice
Add remaining ingredients and stir well to dissolve the sugar and allspice. Sweet, Sour, and colourful!
Serves 2
